If you decide to open a company in Hong Kong and the business nature of the company is one of the following, your company will be required to register with the Securities & Future Commission:
- Companies trading in commodity/futures contracts
- Companies dealitng in securities
- Credit rating companies
- Companies trading in commodity/futures contracts
- Companies giving advice on investment in securities
Besides the above mentioned categories, there are another special categories requiring obtaining a license:
- Banks – bank are required to obtain a license from the Hong Kong Monetary Authority
- Charitable organisations
- Trustee corporations – are regulated by the Trustee Ordinance.
