Hong Kong Company Name

The very first step of starting a new business in Hong Kong is coming up with a company name.

The company name may be chosen either in English or in Chinese or in both languages.  However, the name cannot be a combination of Chinese and English characters.

Another requirement is that your company’s name must end with the word “Limited” (Limited in English or its equivalent in Chinese).

Unacceptable Names

Using name which could give the impression that your company is somehow connected to the Government or any government department is strictly prohibited.
