Choosing your company's name

When setting up a new company in Hong Kong you’ll have to decide on the company’s name. Although it may seem like a small matter, it’s a very important decision.
There are a two basic rules you need to know when choosing your company’s name:
1. You cannot use a name of company that already has been registered or is in the process of being registered. You can check your company name online.
2. You are required to use the word “Limited” in your company name. Please not that the entire word “Limited” must be used, not “Ltd.”
